Welcome to Venture Crew 577

Crew 577 was first chartered in 2001 when the Venturing program was first established by the Boy Scouts of America and has continued to serve the community and youth of North Bellmore ever since.

Crew 577 is chartered by American Legion Post 1749 in North Bellmore New York and is in the Pequott District of the Theodore Roosevelt Council, BSA.

We meet the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of each month from 7:30PM until 9:00PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Center Ave Bellmore New York

We are the most active and best Crew in the Pequott District, earning the distinction of Pequott District Crew of the Year for the last five years.

Some of our trips have taken us to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park.

Our crew has an outdoor high adventure program with emphasis on building young men and women of character.

Our crew members lead the program and select the activities for the year. Our adult advisors run transportation and provide guidance.

Our calendar is packed with action, adventure and fun. The venture schedule has a program every month with activities such as hiking, camping, canoeing, rock climbing, sking/snowboarding and white water rafting. The summer activities usually include a significant high adventure activity.
